Wendmark for Chrome
Someone sent you a Wendmark link: a few steps to do something in a web app. With the extension, a cursor points at each step in the app itself, in your own signed-in session, and moves on when you have done it. You do every click. Wendmark only ever shows the way.
You can record and share guides of your own the same way: click the icon on a page, press Record a process, click through it, and copy a link. No account, no server.
Install it
Section titled “Install it”- Add Wendmark to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.
- Pin it from the puzzle-piece menu, so the Wendmark icon is always there.
If you came here from a link, go back to its tab: Start appears there.
It works in Chrome and in other browsers built on Chromium, such as Edge and Brave. Firefox and Safari are not supported yet.
What it can and cannot see
Section titled “What it can and cannot see”- Nothing, until you ask. It runs on a page only when you click its icon, or when you start a guide and allow that one site. It never asks for “all websites”.
- Never what you type. Guides are made of what was clicked, never of anything typed into a field.
- Your guides stay in your browser. A shared guide travels inside its
link, after the
#, which is never sent to any server, wendmark.dev included. Before sharing, you see exactly what goes, with the words from the page taken out by default.
